God is Over All
Pastor David Watkins
“Plant A Seed”
Sunday, August 24, 2014
Scriptural References:
Matthew 24:12
Matthew 11:30
Matthew 13:1-8
Matthew 13:21-22
Galatians 5:22
Golden Nuggets:

  • Seeds are alive.
  • Thoughts are seeds which begin to produce. They begin to produce their own kind. Apple seeds make apples.
  • What should we plant into our own lives?
  • We plant destruction, instead we should plant restoration. People are depressed and keep saying it. People say "I Am...." and plant negative seeds in their lives.
  • The first thing Satan tried to get Jesus on was his identity. If you are the son of God....
  • People say they have sickness. They claim it with power.
  • Many of us are planting negative seeds every day. Stop saying the negative things daily.
  • If you don't sow seeds, someone else will sow seeds into your life.
  • Even if you have something or see the symptoms of something, it doesn't mean you need to claim it.
  • Some of us are called to do 30, some 60, some 100. Jesus spoke in parables because they don't receive it.
  • You can call someone what they aren't. Call a person beautiful, call the person excellent.
  • Gal. 5:22-23 - The word of God has to be seeded into me every day. You can't have the fruits until you seed the word inside of you first.
Study Questions:
  1. What kind of seeds are you sowing?
  2. What are you confessing over your life?
  3. Are you allowing others to plant negative seeds in your life?

‘Still Breaking Chains’
Associate Pastor Peyton Harrison
Scriptural References:

  • Philippians 1: 11 – 14
  • James 4: 1 - 3
  • Philippians 4:8
  • Acts 17:28
  • Jeremiah 29:11
  • Psalm 37:25
  • Phil. 1:11-14 KJV…11
  • Phil. 1:11-14 The Message Bible…11 bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God. 12 I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment here has had the opposite of its intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the Message has actually prospered. 13 All the soldiers here, and everyone else too, found out that I'm in jail because of this Messiah. That piqued their curiosity, and now they've learned all about him. 14 Not only that, but most of the Christians here have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God, about the Messiah.
  • You can chain the messenger; but you can’t imprison the message!
  • < >The battle between the spirit and flesh is magnified in our behaviors, because we haven’t fought with every fiber of our being until we get a breakthrough!
  • We must wrestle for our blessings!
  • We snap on one another and do not answer with Godly compassion.
  • We believe in recycling, not restoration
  • When we give forgiveness, we must also receive forgiveness. We must forgive ourselves.
  • Think on the things learned and received…(Phil.4:8)Paul says those things are great…but, if you can’t do them, you won’t get victory!
  • Most of the things that happen in our lives is just a decision.
  • Paul did his ministry in chains. The wearing of his chains was a testimony and a testament to the glory and goodness of God!
  • Phil. 1:14…Paul then redefined his chains. He didn’t complain about his chains. The chains were not a weight…they were a portable exercise machine!
  • Acts 17:28…Faith in God will redefine your chains.
  • Is anyone enduring the stress of ‘What if?’The Word reminds us to be anxious for nothing!
  • You can define your chains as heavy -or- your chains can define your trust in God!
  • Redefine your chains! Some, God will break. Some, God will give you the keys to unlock!
  • When you consider presenting yourself as a living sacrifice…Think compassion…not judgment!
  • Think on Jeremiah 29:11… now the thoughts
  • Trust God!When the chains come, flip the script!
  • God is over all!  That is how you break the chains!
  • Do you really trust the Lord, today?
  • Psalm 37:25 …
  • God will break every chain!

We are spiritual cleaners.  We need to be trained how to clean.  If we don’t know anything about cleaning…we can’t clean anybody’s soul! Most of us go to people who are unable to restore.
What is spiritual?  God is spiritual…His Word; Jesus…His way.  It is better that we know God.  Spiritual people know how to first…restore.  The prodigal son wanted his now.  Later, he found that things weren’t right…then all of a sudden, he became spiritual again.  He cam back to his father with an apologetic spirit.
Some are not spiritual.  They will bring you before the people and tell on you.  Some people tell on you because you hurt them and they want to hurt you back.  A spiritual person would not have taken that person to Jesus that was caught in the very act of adultery.  They would have tried to restore the woman.  Some of us think…if I did sin…I didn’t do that! Call that which is not…as it will be!  Make it so!
The spiritual ones are the persons who still know God.  They know what you need.  We need to be in a place where we have compassion.  Jesus told the woman at the well to ‘go and sin no more.’  He told the woman at the well that ‘I have that water…’, then Jesus began to tell her about herself.
What are we doing?  Are we restoring one another? – or –
Are we driving stakes into the peoples’ hands and into their feet?
STOP signing the signature of approval!  We must recognize it and hate it (the sin)!
Walk in the spirit…in the Word of God…knowing God…
Walk in righteousness.  Don’t let your sin catch up with you!
Are you spiritual enough?
We will come to a place where we are spiritual enough to restore!
The people are waiting on us to pray!  Pray that God might move!
Are you praying for others in the spirit of meekness?
Those of us who are spiritual and really love the Lord find that it hurts when we have fallen in a certain way.
Romans 15:1 reminds us that… We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak…
When we are going out (outreach), Pastor wants to see if we’re spiritual.  When we’re spiritual, you learn to open your eyes.
We can’t be ministers if we don’t speak.  Pastor is here to see, perfect and restore.  He needs to know if there is anybody here who can help him!
He wants us to get up!  Get up and walk!  The stronger than you will help you get up if you call…If you push the button!  Push the button if you’re too weak.  Let a strong person come and help you to your feet!  The bible reminds us in Psalm 105:15…Touch not mine anointed and leave my prophets alone…
Do you know God? Do you know His ways?

Pastor David Watkins
Sermon Title: “The Cleaner”
Scriptural references:
John 3:16
Ephesians 4:11-12
Psalm 1:1
When a person becomes a minister. They first get the keys to the bathroom. They must learn how to clean. An example was shared of going to a church where the restroom was foul smelling. You can not
be a preacher, teacher, prophet if you are not willing to clean. Someone could spiritually die.
Your main goal as a minister is to bring people to the Lord Jesus. You need to be able to tell people what you are doing.
We are called to the perfecting of the saints. We are to satisfy God’s requirements.
I will bless the Lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth. God made us to praise him.
God gave us cleaners which are perfectors. These are the persons trained to clean up mess.
Pastor David is the Sanitation Engineer of Grace Covenant. We are to bring any trash to him for proper disposal. We do not want to try to take care of matters on our own, this is how people die spiritually.
Golden Nuggets:

  • Bring your trash to the Sanitation Engineer!
  • Mine your own business, you could find gold!
  • If you can’t clean physically, you can’t clean spiritually!

God Over All
“Presenting a Living Sacrifice”
June 29, 2014
Preached Word - Senior Associate Pastor Deborah Williams
I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2

We recently have been blessed to hear sermons concerning the five major offerings. This preached Word blessed my heart. It deepened my desire to really bless the Lord. I began to dig deeply into the Word, what should we really gain from learning about offerings that are acceptable to God?
Romans chapter 12 begins to minister concerning Christian Duties, living the Surrendered life. When we heard this Word the offering that scratched me was the Burnt Offering. The Burnt Offering was the first offering in history. It is possible that Abel’s offering was a burnt offering.

Genesis 4:4 Abel’s Offering
Genesis 8:20    Noah’s Offering
Genesis 22 Abraham’s Offering

The Hebrew word for “burnt offering” actually means to “ascend,” literally to go up in smoke.” The smoke from the sacrifice ascended to God, “a soothing aroma to the Lord.”

Leviticus 1:9
Leviticus 6:8-13 The traditional Burnt Offering.
A person could give a burnt offering at any time. It was a sacrifice of general atonement – an acknowledgment of the sin nature and a request for renewed relationship with God. The Burnt Offering brought us closer to God. Christ died for us. The first thing that we must do is confess our sins before the Lord. In a sense, when we give ourselves to the Lord, the first thing we do is repent.

Philippians 2:6

Living is defined as having life; being alive; not dead: living persons, in actual existence or use; active or thriving; vigorous; strong: a living faith.
Sacrifice is defined as an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God or to a divine or supernatural figure.
Reflection and Study Questions:
Am I willing to Present myself before the Lord a Living Sacrifice?
What does it require to become a living sacrifice?
What is preventing you from serving the Lord with your entire heart?
John 4:34
Philippians 2:8
Philippians 2:9-11
Matthew 5:44
Matthew 6:24

Living Sacrifice Prayer
Lord God, I am not perfect. I have fallen short. Forgive me of my sin, blot out my transgressions. Create in me a clean heart and renew within me a right spirit. I repent of my sin and ask you to accept the offering that I present to you today! I present before you all of me, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable…..this is only my reasonable service. Let this offering be a sweet scent in your nostrils. Lord, I am presenting myself as a living sacrifice!

Father’s Day Message
Apostle David Watkins
Scriptural References:
I Timothy 5:8
II Thessalonians 3:10
Matthew 11:28, 29
Men are natural born leaders.  Just as a woman was chosen to bear a child, man is chosen to lead.  A boy loves his mother; but his father he will follow, because the father has to teach the boy how to become a great leader.  II Timothy 5:8 - But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. An infidel is someone who doesn’t believe in God.
II Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.  If you don’t work, you don’t eat!  Someone has to teach them.  We need some men teaching their children the truth.  From the time that sin entered into Adam…men had to work until the sweat of their brow.  Men had to work because of sin.  Having to work then became a job of joy.  God gave us a two-edged sword.  If we believe in Christ, our job becomes a joy.
Men…it feels good to know that you are supporting your family!  In the old days…women looked for men who were natural born leaders…that would become a father to their children.  You have to be a Christian father (saved) to do this thing right.
Marriage was created by God.  It is His institution.  For this purpose…man leaves his mother and clings to his wife. (Gen. 2:24)  If you go into it without salvation, your mind becomes seared.  You have to be saved to understand what is required to support and hold up the family.  Take the time to listen!  Thank the Lord for being a dad today!
God has set it up so that technology is a blessing to us!  Fathers…take that time out with your daughter and/or son…teach them how to fight!  God will hopefully remind us when we get to Heaven to turn the other cheek.
Once a person receives salvation…they know how God works things out.  It is no longer a job…it is a joy.  A man gets excited when he is supporting the family.  Matthew 11:28 -  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. God will make where you work a joyful place to be.
He said…take my yoke and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly… (Matthew 11:29).  We have to learn!  We protect our kids.  We don’t want them to be in the streets.  Twenty (20) teenagers attempt suicide every 30 minutes.  There are 20 abortions every 30 minutes.  More than 3 million teenagers have been treated for alcoholism.  900 teenagers are killed every year while driving drunk.
We have a lot of work to do.  Only the Lord can lead you the right way.  Young fathers…go to the older fathers, and they’ll tell you about their mistakes.  Older fathers…try to give them the truth.  DO WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS!...and stop doing what you want to do!
Fathers…be happy!  Young fathers…get ready, because you have some work to do!

'The Five Major Offerings'
Apostle David Watkins
Scriptural References:
Leviticus 1:1, 3, 9
Leviticus 2:1
Leviticus 3:3
Leviticus 4: 3,4
Leviticus 5:5,6
Genesis 8:20
John 4:34
Philippians 2:6-8
Ephesians 2:14
Isaiah 53:10
Deuteronomy 10:12
There are 5 major offerings:
1)     Burnt Offering - Leviticus 1:1
2)     Meat Offering - Leviticus 2:1
3)     Peace Offering:  Leviticus 3:3
4)     Sin Offering - Leviticus 4:3
5)     Trespass Offering - Leviticus 5:6
The purposes of the five offerings are:
1)   They provided a way for the people to gain or keep a relationship with God.
2)   They are related to Jesus' sacrifice (for us).
3)   They show a pattern of how we should approach God.
Sometimes, we must speak things by faith.
The Burnt Offering
The Burnt Offering was the first offering (Leviticus 1:3 - If his offering be a burnt sacrifice f the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord.)  This is an offering that we give to God.  It is the only offering that is totally consumed.  When we give a burnt offering, the aroma goes up to the Lord and provides a sweet savor.  Take the time to read about it in the book of Leviticus, Chapter 1 to Chapter 4.
The Meat Offering
The King James Version calls it 'meat', but it really has nothing to do with meat.  The original meaning was a meal (grain) offering.  It was the most important part of the meal in some offerings.  John 4:34 states, Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.  The 'meat' is the Word of God.  The 'meat' is doing the will of the Father.  It indicates a living sacrifice.
The Peace Offering
Leviticus 3:3 - And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the Lord; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards...
The peace offering is the only offering which allowed the people to eat of the offering.  It indicates fellowship and communion with God.
The Sin Offering
Leviticus 4:3 - If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the Lord for a sin offering.
God can't get a great smell from it.  The sin offering is for things we will do, and even for those things that we have done.  It is based on being a sinner.  Leviticus 4:4   People who had no money brought doves.  It was set up because the nature of man is to sin.
The Trespass Offering
With God, we deliberately fall short.  We deliberately do wrong.  An example is when a person accidentally kills someone.  When we trespass...there's an offering for that.
We must consider that Jesus became all of these major offerings:
1)   Burnt Offering Christ surrendered himself to God; being completely, fully consumed
2)   Meat Offering   Christ gave himself as a living sacrifice, continually doing the will of the Father.
3)   Peace Offering Christ made peace with God on behalf of man.
4)   Sin Offering   Christ atoned for our sin on the cross, he sacrificed and took away all sin.
5)   Trespass Offering  Christ paid for our individual sin when he died on the cross.  He sacrificed himself as an offering for our trespasses.
Now, the offerings are given in reverse order because of the New Testament.  The first shall be last, and the last shall be first (Matthew 19:30).
The burnt offering brought us closer to God.  Christ died for us.  The first thing we must do is confess our sins before the Lord.  In a sense, when we give ourselves to the Lord, the first thing we do is repent.  In peace, Christ opened the way for full fellowship with God.  The more we get to God...we're giving God a burnt offering. We want to get so close to God that we are completely consumed
The burnt offering is the most important.  It is mentioned 197 times in the bible.  The meat offering is mentioned 123 times in the bible.  The sin offering is mentioned 119 times in the bible.  The peace offering is mentioned 43 times in the bible.  The trespass offering is mentioned 36 times.  The one we think is most important is mentioned the least amount of times.

Topic:  The Importance of Pentecost
Apostle David Watkins
Scriptural References:
Deuteronomy 16:1, 4, 9, 10, 16, 17
Genesis 4: 4, 5
Feasts are a time to come together and have a great party…a time that God wants to bless His people!
In the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy, God is talking to us.  There are 7 feasts.
Passover started when Jesus told the people to put blood on the door post that night…
He wanted the people to celebrate that day!
Deuteronomy 16:1   Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
We are to observe the first month, which is Abib.  Abib is the month the children of Israel came out of Egypt.  The month was based on the Lunar calendar.  6:01 was the beginning of each new day.
Blood on the post represents Jesus being put on the cross.  After Jesus died, the people came out of sin.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a great festival…a celebration to celebrate what God has done for us!
Deuteronomy 16:4    And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. There was to be no leaven in all of the territories.  None was to be left.  All that was not eaten was burned.  The people were not to leave their Pentecost sacrifices there.  They had to go out of their towns until Jerusalem was set up.  That was the place where God dwelled.
There is Passover; then the Feast of Unleavened Bread; then the Feast of Weeks.
Verse 9 (Deut. 16:(9) tells us when Pentecost starts. Deuteronomy 16:9   Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.
The first harvest was when the first was brought before the Lord so that He could bless the people all year.  God set it up according to the moon. God set it up so that we will know exactly when it begins.
The people went into thanking God for the Torah (the Old Testament)…for separating them (the Jews) from the rest of the world.
Deuteronomy 16:10   And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
Next Sunday (6/8/14) will be 50 days after the resurrection.  The Feast of Weeks is actually called Pentecost.
Even in those days, there were millions who followed Moses.  Some did not follow Moses…probably for spiritual reasons.  Some of it could have been about laziness.  God told them (during the harvest)…do not go to the ends of the field.  He told them…let ‘them’ take that little bit that you have left over.
Give according to what you have received.  Give according to the blessings of Jehovah.  It is a free will offering.  Don’t confuse it with tithes and offerings.  You must base it on what God has given you for the whole year.  Some may be blessed 30…60…or a hundredfold.  Some will receive nothing…because your gift was found wanting. Your gift must be accepted in order for you to be blessed.  Genesis 4: 4-5 v.4  And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
If you do good, you will be accepted.  What was it…if grain was as worthy as animals (to give to the Lord)?  It had something to do with the way it was given…the thoughts behind them.  Maybe Cain didn’t think about God blessing him and forgiving him for his sin.
Our offering doesn’t have to do with the amount…it is according to …if you are able.  It also has to do with if you are able and you don’t give as you are able.  Think about Ananias and Sapphira…There may be something wrong with the way it is given….doing it for the glory.
Our works will be tried in the fire.  When you do something for God, it should shine.
Some may decide….I’m gonna give, but I won’t give according to my ability to give; or…they may give grudgingly…mumbling and complaining…’Every time I turn around, we’re giving…giving…giving...’  If that is how you feel…keep it!
We want to give to God!  We want to give to him the right way.  We have to give according to something…according to your blessings.  Deuteronomy 16:17 -  Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.
You shall rejoice!  Get exceedingly glad!  This is Passover!  A time of celebration!
Deuteronomy 16:16 - Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the Lord empty:
Don’t appear before the Lord empty-handed.  God wants the people to remember…I took care of you when you came out of Egypt.  The Feast of Passover was a part of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.  The people came before the Lord three times a year.  The whole family appeared before the Lord… In the 7th month (the Feast of Booths).  The people built tents outside the city.
Give as you are able…based on what you received for the year.  It’s like paying your taxes.  Your harvest is your job.  You should make more this year than you made last year.  Easter to Easter is your year.  God can’t make this ministry large and do what He wants to do unless you’re blessed!  The church doesn’t exist without the people!  You want to get to the point that you can support every good work.
God said…’If you abide in me….’ It has to come from somebody.  Expect it!
Based on (according to…) is the same as a percentage of your blessing.  A percentage should go to God as a free will offering.  If you’re able, you give the 10%.  Don’t get mad.  If you do good, you will be blessed!  It’s important that you stay blessed!  You are the window of blessings to your family.  Set aside a portion for those for whom nothing is prepared.
Don’t you wanna get there?...to the place where there’s something left over?  I want to be blessed so that I can bless others!  God created the Passover…the Feast of Unleavened Bread…the Feast of Tabernacles (Booths)…and they’re all for us!  He blessed us with the Holy Ghost!...the power to claim our harvest!
I pray that you will really do the fast.  At 6 o’clock (pm) on Wednesday, we’re gonna start the fast.  We’re going to end at 6 in the evening on Saturday…the end of the Sabbath…which takes us to Sunday…the day aft
